TICK TOCK, TIck TOck, tick tock....

Our time here at Vance is soon coming to an end. In two weeks Scott will officially be winged and deemed a Navy PILOT!!!. YEAH!! I am so proud of him and everything he has accomplished in his career. He has worked so hard and will finally be able to enjoy the perks of that hard work and commitment. I am also happy to have been able to go along for the ride ~ all nine years of it! It's hard to believe but of the eleven, almost twelve years Scott's been in the Navy, 7 of them he's been in training of some kind. He is so excited to be done with this phase and get back into a normal Navy environment and do something productive. That "something productive" will include deployments, of which he may/will head over to Iraq. So, we (the boys and I) would LOVE to have some visitors keep us company!!!!

We close on the house on the 13th. I am so excited about that too. I just want to snap my fingers and be done with this place and moved into our new home. The snapping of the fingers would also mean that instantaneously the walls will be painted, the counters will be resurfaced, the cabinets and the floors in the kitchen will be done too! We are so happy to finally have a place we can call home, on a semi-permanent basis. We'll be there for four years, which to us is like infinity! To actually have a home base for our family is so exciting, I cannot wait.
But enough about the parents....here are the boys....enjoy!!!

I suppose we could fit in a visit or two to our cool cousins!! You'll probably get sick of us, actually. I know the Jerry Kilgores were breathing a sigh of relief when we left the northern midwest to come down to the southern midwest...Now they can have the peanut butter cup Gracia-cookies to themselves...And we'll eat your haystacks! Can't wait to see you in a couple weeks!
