Just call him Lieutenant !

Scott made rank!!!!

I have had the priviledge as Scott's wife to see him work his way up through the ranks over the past twelve years. I have been able to climb that totem pole with him in complete support. From seaman, to First Class Petty Officer, to ROTC Graduate, and now Lieutenant Junior Grade(LTJG). Every accomplishment better than the last and so well deserved. He has worked hard and is a true patriot to his country. I am so very proud of him and so happy to see him wear his silver bars.

Fantastic! Now you just need to get a motorcycle, some Ray-bans and a bomber jacket, race an f-14 down the runway and play some fake volleyball with Goose and you'll totally be my hero. Way to go, Maverick (yes, that is what you WILL be called from henceforth and forever).

Um Anna.....Goose is dead!

Sara K. said...

Ha, Jerry's nickname when we lived in La Jolla was Mav, because we lived right by where Top Gun was filmed and he had his super cool motorcycle. What is Scott's real callsign?

Christy said...

He hasn't gotten one yet. He will when he goes to the Fleet Replacement Squadron.

Anna@Exasperation said...

Shhhh....Goose will never be dead to me. He lives on in my heart, okay? We should ask Alyssa to come up with a list of potential callsign names for Scott.

That could be fun! I can ONLY imagine what she would come up with

Goose went on to become a great ER doc, well, until getting cancer and dying again. Where's Goose now?

Jess B said...

From NBC.com:

Anthony Edwards left ER at the end of the 2001-2002 season when his character, Dr. Mark Greene died of brain cancer. Since then, Edwards has kept himself busy with a number of projects, including starring in such films as "Thunderbirds and The Forgotten". Edwards recently completed filming of David Fincher's "Zodiac", a film about the serial killer who tormented San Francisco in the 60's and 70's.

What does it feel like to be you, Alyssa? I'm jealous. Love them all of course. SpongeScott Fly Pants is particularly stellar.

Oh yeah - SpongeScott Fly Pants is the clear winner there. Christy, you need to secretly tell his buddies about that one so they can start calling him that ahead of time. He will LOVE it, hee hee!

Congrats bro - the very few Navy personnel around here are getting tired of hearing me brag on you every time I run into one of them...
