First E-6 Flight!

The wait is finally over!!!

After putting in ENDLESS hours of studying, simulator events, and learning to fly THREE other aircraft, as well as countless numbers of tests and emergency procedures, it finally came time for Scott to fly the E-6!!! The boys and I went over to the base and shared in his big day (even though it was a 2 1/2 hour wait in the car, with two hungry boys).

The videos below are of him taxi'ing over to the runway and then his take off. I wish I could have taken more footage but of course, in perfect timing, my camera battery indicator was flashing...dang it!!! Oh and please excuse the shaking camera. This girl was pretty proud!!!!

By the way, funny note to add:

Just AFTER I turned off the camera of Scott's take off, Zach says "good, we can eat now"!!! LOL

That's great footage! Nice Job! If only the camera was still taping to hear hungry boy, it would have been that much better. I guess he's definitly a Kilgore.

SO FREAKIN' COOL! So do you think the Navy would be okay with Scott bringing that to the reunion? It'd be a real show stopper! Congrats, congrats, congrats! I'm so proud of you, Scott!

I had the same thoughts...because we are headed to Canada afterwards...it would be nice to arrive in style...you know....make our mark on Brock Vegas...but somehow, I don't think the Navy is down with that. HOWEVER Scott did fly over the mountains in CO this week and said "all looks well weatherwise" and from our stand point (being knee deep in rain) I think you would agree, that is a HUGE BONUS to this trip!

Just had to edit my previous comment slightly:

Pretty crazy that my chubby little mullet-headed metal-lovin' pyro/klepto brother is flying that freakin' plane...

And I am DANG proud. We have ONE Navy guy here on post that I know of, and he's getting sick of hearing about you, b/c everytime you hit another milestone I have to brag to him about it. So if you ever run into a Commander Mike Tedesco, don't be surprised if he goes, "Oh, YOU'RE the guy..."

I was ACTUALLY going to say that!!!! I do remember a few "jail house" stories!!!!
