This weekend is all about me, moi, mio, I. Do you know how wierd it is to say that? I mean, seriously.....when is the last time you ever heard me talk about ME? It's very rare I will use "me" sentences, but this weekend....you will most likely hear nothing but "me me me".Scott is home with the boys, while I am in Dallas, attending a MOMS Club luncheon in this beautiful hotel room....and yes, I will be wearing that Marriott robe all weekend long. Why? Becuase SOMEONE ELSE GETS TO DO THE LAUNDRY. SOMEONE ELSE GETS TO CLEAN UP AFTER ME... me, me me me!
Instead of just staying tonight and then leaving tomorrow after the luncheon adjourns, I am staying one more night, just so I can again enjoy the bed....this lucious, beautiful, most comfortable, BIG bed, alone with no snoring husband beside me, or children crying in the middle of the night for no apparent reason.
After the conference I fully intend on using this time to meet my ever adorable new niece Sophie and her equally adorable, but more rugged big brother Cameron and Miles. I will love them and squeeze them and tickle them and then.....at the end of the day....return once again.....to this marvelous bed.I am going to come back to this room, jump right back into my robe, climb back under those covers, and read in the silence....ah.....silence. ONCE AGAIN and for the last time, I will enjoy this little piece of heaven, as short lived as it will be....but it's one more night of me me me.
Have I made my point?

Besides the shock of seeing your toes for the first time ever in the, what, 12 years or something like that? that I've known you, I'm totally jealous of your comfy robe, girls-only luncheon, meeting of Sophie and, oh yes, the SILENCE. Two whole nights of SILENCE. Reading in bed in SILENCE is something I can only dream of for a good long while, but I know you'll enjoy it for me...
