I'm Inspired!

This quote helped me complete a 4.3 mile run yesterday in 39.08 minutes.

"There will be a day when you can no longer do this. Today is NOT that day"

(Laura Kloepper, Honolulu. Runner's World, October 2008)

What are your all time favorite inspirational quotes? I'm going to write them on sticky notes and put them throughout my house!

That is awesome Christy! I have been trying to get back into running shape but I'm sure not running multiple sub-10's yet. Great quote -- I'll have to remember that one.

Ummm...an inspirational quote...hmmmmm....Oh!

"Inside me is a skinny woman screaming to get out, but I can usually shut her up with cookies."

Is that what you wanted?

"Failure is not an option. So choose something else."

Or (for losing weight, but could be tweaked for other situations)

"Losing weight is hard. Being fat is hard. Maintaining weight loss is hard. You just have to pick your hard."

K, it's not running related but it keeps me focused on the REALLY hard days when I want to just give my kids away.
"No success outside the home can compensate for failure in the home."

Reminds me of my priorities! Me and my relationship with my family come first!!! Everything else is an addendum to the family.

And for running: Not a quote, so much as the opening measures of "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor. I can be in the worst, laziest running mood and if I hear those blessed synthesized beats I'm ready to rumble.

"If you're not happy, you're not paying attention." That's what I say to myself every morning!!

Keep running, girlfriend!! ~hilda~

"Fall 7 times Stand up 8."

It's a good reminder when we "fall off" that wagon yet again to get back on (though I think mine should now tally fall 379 times stand up 380 :p)
