Spring Break

During our Spring break the boys and I traveled to Colorado Springs to spend time with my sister and her two boys. It was GREAT fun. I was so glad we had that opportunity to visit with them and spend quality time with Cohen and Lucas. Both of whom I think liked having some added entertainment!

Upon our return we were visited by the Iowa Kilgores. They were just starting their spring break and decided to take a road trip south to spend time with family as well. They hit us up first and then headed further south to spend the week with Anna and her crew. Lucky for us, they hit us up on the way back and we were able to share in Earth Hour with them on Sunday Night (March 29th). From 8:30-9:30 pm we shut all electronics off (TV, computer, phone, lights) and just sat in the silence. It was a nice segway for bedtime for the kids. We sat around a camping lantern and hoped to hear Jerry play the guitar while we sang songs, but little did we know he didn't pack on this trip. So we instead told stories and sang a few songs....and kissed every one goodnight. While the kids were nestled in their beds and sleeping bags, the adults indulged in ice cream! mmmm, delish!

We love that the boys got to spend some quality time with both sides of the family within a week's time. What a treasure that is for them with all of us being so spread apart. I can't wait until August when we get to partake in even MORE family! It will be so fun!
